December Daily Advent
O Come O Come Emmanuel.
First day of Advent.
Busy weekend of Thanksgiving celebrations with the Tasse family, Havercamp family and then a big Christmas party with the Meyer extended crew. Always amazing that 100+ people come together-what a testament to my grandparents and their family.
Today we went to church and came home and decorated the house for Christmas. Closed our night in Advent prayer around the Advent wreath with some squirmy kids who we pray are understanding who Christ really is and why we celebrate all these things.
Asher asks the most amazing questions. Like what if you were born Christian and you were Christian as a kid but stopped being Christian as an adult...would you still go to heaven?
Jackson serenades us with beat boxing and the piano on a regular basis...
Addie Rose is following right behind him in her own piano skills...taking out all of our Christmas ornaments was a reflection on her fond affection for food. ;) . (Which was evidenced as she busted out her little Christmas cup of eggnog and rocked in the kids rocker while I was getting decorations organized).
And Auggie John is battling a cold, sleeping a lot and still requesting "Rock" (Milk) and his porcupine book in five minute increments.
All is well. We have shifted into the season of Advent, preparation for a King. :)
