A beautiful week
Well FINALLY we have had some GREAT weather. And it has impacted our attitude a lot!! So good. I feel like a different mother with the sunshine. :) And we have had a busy week!
Bike rides, runs, a monster truck rally, many trips to the skate park, a hike at Scott County Park, a picnic, park visits, bonfire, an ER visit, a field trip, soccer game, photo shoots, daddy coming home and dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Wow-it has been a busy week! But a great one.
Addie has started to say animal sounds which is really fun. She is also a pretty good girl in the bike carrier and jogger stroller which has allowed us to get some good exercise in (as long as she has snacks and water readily available). She babbles like crazy and thinks we understand and has started to say, "yaaaahhh...' in a really endearing way. :)
Jackson had a scare last night when he woke up with the croup...we immediately took him to the ER which was our first ER visit in the night...talk about blessed. He was totally fine after a little dose of medicine and we are keeping our fingers crossed it stays that way. He has become OBSESSED with his scooter. He informed me his new nickname is Scooterman...and he asks at least five times a day to go to the skate park....which we often do. He also found his rollerblades in the basement and is equally as excited about those. He has learned to ride his bike on flat ground (a big deal for family bike rides) and he went to the monster truck rally with Michael on Saturday...never has he been so animated about something...and he is a pretty animated kid! They had a blast.
We had a sweet moment on Friday night during a family fun night. We popped popcorn and watched the movie Free Willy. He started to cry when he thought Willy wouldn't make it back to his family. He was so sensitive in a very very sweet way. It melted my heart. What a good little man...
