9 Months
I'm resisting the urge right now to get to the four hundred other things on my task list. But I've made a commitment that on the month birthday of each child's first year I'll do my best to blog...even if there are many other things that need to be done. Our lives in a little bit of a whirlwind...but there is these two little constants, ever changing but ever true who grace our presence every day. And today is the nine month birthday of our littlest one.
This girl has completely stolen my heart. We had a brief moment together alone today, to go to her nine month check up...and I already felt like I was having a 'girls' day with my daughter. It was just special to just be with her...and to focus in on her if only for an hour. She simply brings me so much joy.
I say it every time another month passes...I really can't believe she is nine months old already. This sweet little one who greeted our world last fall now is a vibrant, mobile, energetic little miss.
Last night we were driving home and Michael made the comment, "I know it's the same time frame but she seems to be growing up so much faster than Jackson." It's so true-having two makes the time fly by...but there really is never a dull moment.

This little girl has had some milestones in the last couple of weeks. Here is what she is up to by nine months:
- Shakes her head back and forth like 'no', especially when on the changing table...
- Has this really deep laugh/screech. Michael says it sounds like James Brown.
- Has given up the fish crawl and is officially crawling everywhere! She's a speedy little one.
- Has started pulling herself up onto objects. Stands next to couches, stands in her crib...and is getting more stable on her feet.
- Still loves food, especially cheese and fruit.
- Officially drinking formula only. (It was a sad day for me but I'm adjusting)
- Started sleeping through the night. Last week (Tuesday) was the first time. And she has repeated it about every other night! Hoping we are on a roll!
- Loves, loves, loves her pink teddy bear. Has to sleep with it-so adorable.
- Today she weighed in at 21 pounds and is 27 inches long.
Jackson has also been a busy little bee lately. I definitely notice that school is out! But he is just such a sweetie...that kid has more life and enthusiasm than I know what to do with. Today he spent the entire day with out good friends the Bartels, bless their hearts. He went to bed talking about 'Range Trail' (which is where they live). It's like a childhood wonderland for him.
I wish I could remember more funny things he has said lately, because it happens about forty times a day...but my brain is so fried I can't even think of anything. Lol. Another day. Looking so forward to our assignment and the peace of mind that will bring.
So happy nine month birthday Miss Addie Rose. I never knew there was a hole in my heart until you came along and filled it.
