Never Doubt Jackson...
Well we thought for sure we were having a boy. Michael thought it, I thought it, my mom thought it. We had a boys name (which will still keep for the possibility in the future) and so you can imagine our surprise when the ultrasound technician revealed she is pretty sure we are having a GIRL! Holy Cow. I never saw that coming. And in all honesty, as I sat in that room, watching the screen, seeing the arms, the legs, the fingers, the body of this little child-I was so excited but I was more thrilled, humbled and overtaken by the simple fact that we are blessed to be having another baby and that all appears healthy. That in and of itself is a miracle. I am so thankful.
And all along, anytime you asked Jackson, since the moment I found out I was pregnant if he was going to get a baby brother or baby sister, he said, with no hesitation, "Baby Sister." I should have listened. :) Praise God for the beautiful addition to our family.

My jaw is still on the floor! Baby "see-ster"...what a great big brother Jackson will be to her. So happy for you all. What a lucky little girl...

ReplyDeleteYAY for a little girl--congratulations!!! We have plenty of girl stuff to share with you if you're interested :).
ReplyDeleteI just took some time to read some of your posts and I was struck by all the wonderful one on one time you've had with Jackson. After having the twins when Mia was only 2, I look back now and see what hard year that was for her in so many ways. So I know this baby was a long time coming, but what a blessing to have all this quality time with Jackson--which I'm sure you already feel.
