Sunshine
What a week! Monday was Valentine's Day and we spent some great time together as a family. In the morning we went to the MAC Center for open gym and then after Jackson woke up for his nap we headed out on a two hour snowshoe hike to Donald Park. I can't believe how wonderful it was for my soul. Amazing. I felt like a new person just having two hours in the sunshine and Jackson LOVED it. Michael was a great sport and carried him the whole way.
On our way home we were craving one thing...steak. Go figure. :) So luckily we found a babysitter last minute. Thank you Bailey! She came over and took care of Jackson. I just had to share two things he did with her while she was here.
First: He grabbed his blanket and said to Bailey, "Want to cuddle?" . . .Seriously? Not sure how that happened since I've NEVER heard those words from his mouth.
Second: He laid out his big Lightning McQueen blanket on the floor, making sure to flatten the edges. He then proceeded to grab his bigger plastic trucks. He lined them three of them up side by side, points to them and says, "Monster truck, garbage truck, dump truck. (Pause) Best. Friends."
I just didn't want to forget that story. Someday I'll look back and chuckle. :)
