AAH…..
Asher…Alan…Havercamp…also known as ash….And not I feel like I can say that…aah….little man…Asher Alan…we are finally in a groove.
Now granted…we still have many sleepless nights…but our day time is happy. Many happy moments with this guy. More of him to come on his 3 month birthday but just a little update from our life.
Easter came and went. Gosh so much has come and gone…and we have just been surviving, barely keeping our head above water. I don't know how we would have survived this transition to three kiddos without the help, support, meals, love and prayers from so many. It was a little rough but it was a LOT easier having all these people to lean on.
So lately things are evening out a bit. Jackson and Addie are loving the outdoor weather that allows for new adventures in our yard, on our street and on the bike trail. We've transitioned them to the same room which has gone surprisingly well much in part to the discovery that Addie Rose does not like to be disciplined by soap. :) We found a weak spot so she has done an incredible job. In fact, the first night she was yelling my name very nicely (not in a whine which is a major step forward) so I finally went up there to see what she wanted. She was saying she needed a drink so I started downstairs to go and get her one and she said, "No mommy, it's right there…" It was literally on the floor about five feet from her bed, but the threat of soap if she got out of her bed worked!!! Praise God. They have so much fun going to bed in the same room-I'm so glad we have them sharing. It's so cute. Thankful she is finally able to be in there with him…
And that also means that Asher has transitioned to his crib, about a week ago. Doesn't change how much he gets up in the night but nice to have a respite in our room again.
Easter was beautiful. Literally a beautiful weekend with the weather and just a wonderful time with Joan. The kids were adorable…had a little scavenger hunt for their Easter stuff and they loved it. Such a fun age they are at.
We took a hike out to Scott County last weekend while Addie Rose was with Grandma and Grandpa Weitl. Just the boys and us. The weather was beautiful and Asher did well. Just nice to get out and enjoy this beautiful change of seasons.
Beyond that Michael has spent some significant time getting our yard in order and we have just been leaning in to all that is going on. Life is good. Moving fast…but totally blessed.
