Our kiddos
Jackson. I figured it's been awhile since I've blogged about this little man. And he really is becoming just that. A little man. Jackson is still the same little boy: energetic, full of life, expressive, boisterous, gregarious, and adventurous.
But he has this really sweet side that has developed in the last couple of months. He is caring and polite. He has started to take on responsibilites without our asking.
He has a vitality about him. He walks into a room and captures you with his enthusiasm about his latest thing. It might be Spiderman, or a story he has heard, or a quote from a movie. Whatever it is, he has the gift of woo. (reference Strengthsfinder).
His favorite colors are now Green and Red (for Spiderman). He hasn't quite let go of the green (for John Deere) but Spiderman is definitely front and center now.
Jackson stories as of late:
- He has been watching the Lorax lately. When we took our Christmas tree out and were putting it in the alleyway he got really sad because we were letting a tree die. It was hard for him to understand. But I tried my best to explain it. :)
- He's definitely singled minded. He gets fixated on something and its the first thing he says when he wakes up or the thing he insists upon until you respond. Today it was skiing. He insisted upon wearing his skies outside today at some point. Mission accomplished. :)
- At church on Sunday the guy behind him shook Jackson's hand and continued to shake it aggressively. Jackson says, "Wow, your quite a good shaker." The guy totally cracked up.
Agh-I have so so many more that of course I'm blanking on right now. I'm going to do a better job of capturing his sayings. So so funny!
