"Be content with such things as ye have..."

Hebrews 13:5

Yesterday was our six year anniversary.  What a great day to celebrate as a couple right?  One would think so...but our day was marked by family time, napping children, a trip to Whitey's and a walk to park.  At one moment I yearned for a dinner date, or a night out...but that desire quickly faded as I sat on the swing with Addie Rose and she giggled in my lap.  In that precise second I realized our life will probably be much more full of anniversaries to ourselves...and these precious moments with these little children who actually want to spend time with us will fade very quickly...

So last night I praised God, not for a night out, but for irreplaceable moments that are somewhat choatic yet full of joy as Addie Rose and Jackson giggle uncontrollably at each other, or reach for our arms...or simply look up at us at say, "Mommy, I love you so much."

Happy Anniversary Michael.  These kiddos are a reflection of the covenantal love we sealed our hearts to six years ago.  They are the best anniversary gift ever.  Both of them reflect you so much.  They embody a spirit from their father that I see everyday.  I am so thankful for a man who serves and loves our family...but even more I'm thankful for a father who teaches our children about the love of the Lord and how to live a life with integrity.

You are the reason I am who I am.  You push me, you challenge me and I know that God's design for our marriage was so that you would help me to be a better person.  Thank you for that...thank you for six incredible years...thank you for being the person who knows me best, who can hold me accountable and who is my best friend.  I love you dear.  Happy Anniversary.  :)
