Day 2
Well today was our second full day at camp and I would say it was a successful day. Eighty some degrees, a long afternoon nap and plenty of time in the sun. Even managed to squeeze in a run after the kiddos went down. Glorious. :)
We went off property this morning to go to mass and I'd say it was somewhat of a stressful experience, the kiddos were totally melting down. But it was nice to go as a family. By the time we came home I was READY for a nap with the kids. And Jackson didn't nap, but rather laid in bed by me and talked, moved and made noises for about three hours. Ahh heavenly. :)
Today we were driving home from mass and church went longer than we expected so we stopped at McDonalds because we missed lunch. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and Jackson said, "Mom this is what we had on our date night." Melt my heart-he remembered. Amazing. It makes me so curious at the things that are forming in his mind. Such a little sweetheart.
And Jackson got to ride a John Deere lawn mower today, along with timber carts. It was a good day for him. Addie Rose was a little off, I think from teething, but by the evening she was in great spirits. Luckily she sleeps so well here.
Blessing is an understatement. This place is sacred. We are so lucky to be here.
