7 Months

Melt. my. heart.

Love the rolls on the legs...and love her in tights.
Square head...I think we have a picture of Jackson almost exactly like this...

Well our sweet pea or otherwise affectionately known as 'tub of love' :) turned 7 months today.  Gosh I just can't believe it.  She continues to be an absolute joy in our lives.

  • Crawling forward.  This started on Monday (April 2).  It’s not exactly a crawl, it’s more of a flop down/scoot.  But alas-she goes forward.  And everywhere for that matter.  Tonight I had to pull her away from the cords and I realized that it’s beginning!
  • Eating A TON.  Gets seriously pissed when if she sees us put food in our mouth (especially table food) and she doesn’t have something to put in her.  Cracks. Me. Up.
  • Consequently is starting to eat food not pureed…bananas, mango, peach and she LOVES puffs.
  • Still not quite sleeping through the night…up about once or twice…to eat.  J
  • Has started to sleep with a teddy bear-it’s the cutest thing ever.  Been wanting to get a picture but afraid I’ll wake up her when I do.  Sometime soon I’ll try.
  • At her six month appt she was still 95% for weight and 30% for height.  :)
  • We also let her 'cry it out' this month and it only took one night.  She now completely self soothes and night and is out of her swaddle.  We didn't take away the nook but I'm reconsidering since I get up so often in the night to find it for her.
  • Has had a little bit of a cold the last week or so but it hasn't changed her disposition much at all.
  • Spent some time with Aunt Kenzie while she was on spring break.  It was so fun...and of course every girl outfit she had was pulled out of the closet.  :)
  • Spent a whole weekend with just Daddy while I was on retreats for Edgewood this past weekend and overall she did pretty good.
  • Smiles, a full body smile, when you come and get her out of her crib in the morning.
  • Still loves Jackson...just melts when she is near him...or belly laughs.

Blessed is an understatement for how we feel about this little love.  Her personality is coming out more and more.  I'd describe her as gently determined, steadily content, full of love and observant about things around her.  I pray daily for her heart and that she will always know how beautiful she is.  What a gift...
