30 Days of Thanksgiving: Day 20

Today could not have been more perfect...Got up and went to church and then headed out to farm with Dad.  Ended the day with a steak dinner.

Today I'm thankful for God's creation, for peaceful scenic country scenes, for beautiful sunsets and for land that spreads for miles.  I had plenty of time today, while following my pops in the truck at 10 mph or while driving the back hoe down the high way at about 20 mph...time to just look out in silence and appreciate the beauty of the land, the birds flying in the air, the clouds in the sky.  'Stopping to smell the roses' so to say...but totally appreciating the peaceful feeling that the countryside and nature can bring...amazing.

And then on the way home the sunset was spectacular.  I used to collect pictures of sunsets but I think I got to the point where I thought they all started to look the same.  Truth be told though, I still stop dead in my tracks some days when walking through my house and seeing a beautiful sunset out the back doors...something about the colors...such magnificence.  I'm thankful for creation...and for the peace it brings to our souls...
