30 Days of Thanksgiving: Day 18
Today was kind of a whirlwind of a day! Got up super early to head back home to Iowa and the kids traveled so well. We managed to make a pit stop at the National Farm Museum...and Jackson loved it! What a great time. Then Dillon, Kenzie, Cass and I watched an AMAZING win by Iowa State that seriously was just unbelievable. It was quite an event!
I think after reflection my gratitude today rests in moments of adrenaline rush. How boring would life be if we didn't have things to get us excited...a motorcycle ride, a roller coaster, falling in love, a new adventure, or a team that is unpredicted to win a big game blowing it out of the water...
I love adventure and I truly enjoy rushes like that-isn't it sometimes just awesome...granted I have a little more fear now that I have kiddos-probably won't catch me bungy jumping anytime soon...but it sure is great to know that if I wanna get a little 'natural' rush I can ask my pops for a ride on his Harley...
So I'm thankful for a game that kept us on the edge of our seats tonight, for an awesome win, for a grandma who was willing to take my kids for seven hours (my first time away for that long, consequently while Addie didn't do to well) and an experience that just got you caught up in the moment and feeling a rush that no 'substance' could produce quite the same!
