One Month

It's hard to believe that little miss Adelyn Rose in a month old already (and I'm a day late in writing this).  Alrighty so now I'm almost a week late in writing this post but I. will. persist!  What a week it's been.  Tomorrow starts the Edgewood Life Retreat so Addie has been spending most of her nights (until upwards of 3:00am) with me at Edgewood.  What a way to celebrate your first month!  She has received tons of love by many of my students-it's wonderful.

Ahhh...happy one month to my little rose...can't believe it.  I also can't believe how big she is getting.  On Wednesday of this week Addie smiled in response to my voice and that has been continuing.  She is started to have one heck of a grip and she is having much more awake and alert time.  She definitely likes to be held so we have switched to the bjorn for a majority of our time together.  :)  She also is sleeping in her car seat for about 3-4 hours at night which is wonderful.  But her typical schedule is still eat, sleep, awake just a little bit.

Tuesday evening this week, while I was at work with miss Adelyn, I sat her on the floor and just gazed at her, completely humbled that we have a baby and couldn't help but cry.  Last weekend was our annual trip up north with the Lesperances and we were reminiscing about last years trip when on the drive I broke down about not getting pregnant...and now here we sit.  One year later-a beautiful daughter added to our family.  I never want to take her for granted.

This is what I was looking at as I typed this tonight.  :)  Love her.

So happy one month to our little miss.  You sure do bring lots of joy to our lives...and I feel so much more complete with you here.
