Bowling Adventure
It's been a good week. I'm still feeling on the up swing of energy. Had one experience with being nauseous and it totally threw me off!! So needless to say its been WONDERFUL to feel good, have energy and be able to attack some of the things I've been putting off for so long.
Last Friday night the 'Camps experienced our first adventure together of bowling! Yep-you heard it. Bowling with a two and a half year old. I don't know if we were crazy or overly motivated but it was fun. So we packed up Jackson and headed to Ten Pin. We only lasted for forty-five minutes or so (worth one game for all of us) but it was a success. Besides having to wait his turn Jackson totally loved it. They even had shoes and a ball for him. Too cute. :)
Lately Jackson has been randomly saying, "Thank you Daddy. Thank you Mommy." for no reason. And he's getting a kick out of the phrase, "Are you kidding me?" Quite entertaining.
Today Michael and at different moments were really struck with thankful hearts, for our life, our son and child on the way, friends and family, our jobs...just for everything. We really are so undeserving of all this, and yet so aware that it is pure blessing. It's nice to have moments of clarity like that.
I came out of the bedroom to find that Jackson had set up his own little computer station. :')

We spent some time with the Allen's this weekend to celebrate Becky's birthday. I got a whole Saturday to myself and it was AMAZING. I took the longest shower since I can remember and actually went to coffee and lunch with friends, not for a meeting but just because. It felt so libera
ting. :) Jackson and Dawson have become little buds. It's so fun to watch it evolve. After we finished bowling on Friday night we told Jackson he would have to tell Dawson about bowling and from that point on he kept asking, "Where's Dawson?" Then on Monday at open gym Jackson pushed Dawson out of the way (not good I know) but when we were talking about it later that night he kept asking, "Why did Jackson push Dawson?" Self-reflection perhaps? lol...good nonetheless and so fun to see these little men develop.
Today at the store Jackson was in his cart and sitting there while I was looking at something. A lady walked by and said oh sorry, because she bumped our cart. I didn't think anything of it, told her not to worry and she moved on her way. I went back to looking whatever it was I was looking at and when I looked back Jackson was in silent tears. I didn't know what was wrong. I felt SO bad. He wasn't making a sound but just trembling. And then I realized (he had taken his shoes off) that the woman had accidentally bumped his foot. It was heart wrenching to see him cry without making a sound...but I truly believe the reason he did it was not to hurt her feelings. Perhaps I'm reading into it to much, but it was absolutely endearing.
